With repentance comes the forgiveness of sins. Belief is one thing-the Amplified bible expands the Greek-cling to. Jesus' first message to the public is repent-Matthew 4:16-17
16 The people which sat in darkness saw great light; and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death light is sprung up. 17 From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

Repentance is not belief in the sense of changing one's thought process-nor
is it just works but both-it is an act of the mind body and spirit.

27-lesson

definitions-prayer. believer/disciple. honor. worship-using your body as a living sacrifice.
intercession-not manipulation. Perfect love-without fear.

Apparently Jesus never directly rebuked the sinners [just the demons] only the hypocrites.

Random Sunday

Went to a baptist church that reaches out to children- one man drives a school bus picking up children to go to biblical- based school that they have. Then went around downtown both by foot and by car, then we talked with an ice-cream man.

Random Saturday

Went to the flea market then on the way to the the mini-golf arcade we had car karaoke. Most of my buds doing the healing today, I was mainly there just to hang out and read scripture- five of us today. Tonight we`re looking at Google maps for places to hit.

James 2
14What good is it, dear brothers and sisters, if you say you have faith but don’t show it by your actions? Can that kind of faith save anyone? Suppose you see a brother or sister who has no food or clothing, 16and you say, “Good-bye and have a good day; stay warm and eat well”—but then you don’t give that person any food or clothing. What good does that do? 17So you see, faith by itself isn’t enough. Unless it produces good deeds, it is dead and useless.

We need to act upon what we know, or else it won't do any good.

I consider today my first day of actual practice

nobody got drastically changed – no raising the dead yet, but I feel like this really helps aim at a higher purpose— I started out with baseball chit-chat at an asian store near the mall with one guy who was Buddhist who let me say a short prayer for him. Then we went to the mall and was one man with a cane who seemed really appreciative of the short laying of hands and commanding his body to be healed in Jesus' name. He seemed to be a bit better, in a good mood, I probably should have asked him how he felt but it slipped my mind, because I was thinking about how to keep in contact with him. Overall it was pretty fun- like wow

Random encounters, no healings:
-A person who was recently saved
-An atheist who worked at the store

I need to get out my contact info easier-business cards?...

2i Random

A lesson for Friday was dont chase bad soil, as in dont go spend all your energy trying to push and force somebody to realize a spiritual truth, but instead try to channel your energy to those who are hungry for what you have to say.

Luke 8:5-8 (New International Version)

5"A farmer went out to sow his seed. As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path; it was trampled on, and the birds of the air ate it up. 6Some fell on rock, and when it came up, the plants withered because they had no moisture. 7Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up with it and choked the plants. 8Still other seed fell on good soil. It came up and yielded a crop, a hundred times more than was sown."

Went to two San Jose Giants minor league games, Thursday and Friday: it was the finals. Then I played billiards Saturday.  Giants vs Quakers: 1-1.

1f Win

'We always win.'

2 Corinthians 2:14 (King James Version)
14Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.

What is agape?  Agape is not  romantic, and not that which is brotherly [phila, friendship], but one can say agape is a general anti-selfish compassion for others, the kind of love Jesus gave.

For God so loved  the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16)

Went to Barns n Noble today [Wed.] with two other guys, reading both Christian and mundane books.  Guys were singing worship, and having discussion for a few hours as usual today.  Worship seems to be every night except Thursday, which is the official day off. There was also talk about making a movie addressing concerns of the Church, and the filing of several religious books.

0e Negative thoughts ^ Purity

The school had 12 including myself, one lesson I can recall was that all negative thoughts are not from ourselves. Then, that night we talked about purity.

Going Away Party

After a trip to Walmart where there was prayer for disabled peoples, yesterday night was a gathering to send somebody off who is going on a healing missions in Africa. We sung worship songs; There's no God like Jehovah, and learned about how we need fire, shelter and signals to survive both in the wilderness and as a Christian.

Arrival

Since Friday night at San Jose, there has been alot of new discovery about faith healing at a street fair and UC Berkley. A key lesson is that it is His will to heal us, as all disease is from the devil.

And in Matthew 10:8 Jesus commands his disciples:
"Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, cast out demons: freely ye received, freely give."
